thats how the old RS3 started... the replacement RSX3.5 starts by pressing the star (snowflake) button TWICE (programmable from 1 to 3 presses)..... as mentioned pressing lock & unlock together on the new units activates timer mode and it will start automatically every three hours to a maximum of 6 times.....
