I got a problem., I just recieved my new eclispe 88150 dvc sub today, so now i have three subs. Now the current enclosure holds two 15;s and they are facing the trunk, now the new enclosure im having a hard time getting it in, but it does fit facing the 3 15's up towards the trunk, now my question is with the other enclosure you could hear me down 4 blocks before i pull up, now with the new enclosure firing the subs toward the trunk lid, will i still have the same effect, when its now 3 eclipse 15 inch subs.

advice will be greatly appreciated.

every vehicle is diffrent, I have had best results with subs firing back or up.
we currently have our subs all the way to the rear of the trunk with them firing up. this is the best results we have found so far

what amp(s) are you running? It may change the sound dynamics - why not try it out?

im using the jbl 1200.bp1 amp to run all three of the subs. They are all 4 ohm dvc, which means when i wire them they will put A 2.67 OHM LOAD on the amp which should be prefect, but the amp is one ohm stable and is a switching amp so it puts out the same amount of power at either ohm. I did a search on all the old topics and found out some interesting stuff, that is helping me make up my mind, and im gonna face them upwards, hopefully it will be louder then when i had two of them

Check the sag calculator to make sure the subs can face up.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.

No, if it's not recommended to downfire, then it's not recommended to upfire either- you still run into the same sag issue.
