Alright guys sorry im bringing this thread back from the dead but im going to get back to this project (been really busy lately). Anyway, this amp rack is gonna be a box, and im stuck on how i can cut out a piece of MDF for the side of the box thats curved (look at the pics on the 1st page). can i bend some MDF or should i just cut a bunch of small pieces and sand it down or what?

noob, will both sides of the curved piece be visible? if not take 3/4" mdf and cut kerf's 1/4" to 1/2" apart, to allow for easy bending. experiment with the kerf spacing to get the bend radius you need. if both sides are visible take 2, 1/2" (3/4" if thats only what you have available) layers of mdf and cut kerfs in both pieces and glue them together, kerfs toward eachother.
Prove your connections, use a meter!
I promise, I'll behave!

he's talking about making small relief cuts in the wood.  Like pie cuts.  To help it curve.  not sure if it works or not, never tried it.

If the piece you want to bend is not for structual integrity, then go to home depot and get yourself some 1/8" MDF. it bends super easy

you could always choose to fiberglass that part of it too. Using the fleece method
looking good! Keep up the work and updates!
