what is the best product to use for cleaning the surfaces of your vehicle prior to applying dynamat?

is it ok to apply it without a roller and heatgun?

thanks

I use denatured alcohol and lint-free wiping cloths.  You'll need some kind of roller to assure good adhesion to irregular surfaces.

get a roller it will apply a lot easier. If you don't have a heat gun try  a hair dryer. Alcohol works for cleaning or glass cleaner that contains ammonia (windex, zep 40).
