hey guys one thing i noticed is that everywhere i look its Peavey ,Eminence and celestion are basically the only 3 brands that come up.. Are these the low end 3 high end 3 or just most commericialized?

I guess that guy has subs.

Okay another question, I've seen some nice speakers but they are 16ohm. Now if its a 16 ohm speaker and i have a 400rms amp that puts out 400rms @4 ohms.. does this speaker only push 100rms?

I guess that guy has subs.

In theory that amplifier will put out 100 watts at a 16 ohm load. Speakers do not push any wattage.

Are you looking for speakers to be used primarily for tailgating? Do you want something you can set up outside of your vehicle? Or are you looking for something to be mounted in the rear of your vehicle that will be audible outside of the vehicle. BTW, what year, make, and model vehicle do you have?

basically..somthing to be mounted in the rear that you can hear outside...

I'm planning on making a box that i can transport between vehicles..right now i have a 92 jeep but i will be geting a trailblazer within the next month. so i was thinking about making a box and putting the amps and everything on the box so when i get my new suv. i can just unwire the wires and take the box.

Well partsexpress is the main site that I look for raw speakers like the ones we are talking about.

In-wall and ceiling speakers could work...try it out and see.

Even if you get a 16 ohm speaker it should still get pretty loud if the effiency is high...The speakers I'm getting have an effiency of 98db @1w/1m so if givin 100 watts they would get kinda loud.

I mean have you ever hear a 100 guitar amp playing? It's quite loud even outside.

I am also going to make a box that is easy to take in an out so I can play music at tailgate parties and doodie like that. I'll prolly make it out of fiberglass so it weighs a little less lol.

Oh yeah I forgot to say that those three brands your asking about are all good. They make some great speakers.
