it's the ground.  check the brains ground and the siren ground.  make sure the paint, dirt, etc. is removed to the bare metal where you ground both grounds and make sure the screw/bolt is tight but not stripped out.  but it is definitely the ground

When there is no sound coming out of it.93 mazda 929, bulldog 62I - Page 3 -- posted image.
Very easily, applying full + and - to the siren and seeing how it sound is a very good indication of the condition of your siren.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.93 mazda 929, bulldog 62I - Page 3 -- posted image.

Depends if its current sensing or not. It goes off when you open it because its probably wired off the door triggers, therefore detecting that the door is open.

I think your a bit confused.

The doors are wiried to your dome light, when your doors open, the light turns on. The alarm trigger is connected to the switch on the doors, so that when the doors open, the alarm will know and be triggered.

The wire the alarm connects on the doors is the same one that activates the dome light.

The wiring your dome light switch uses to turn the dome light is different and will not cause the alarm to sound.

so if you open the door and the alarm goes off and the light comes on thats ok but if thats the wire that makes the alarm goes off how come it does not sound off when I press the door triger button down intill the dome light turns off and then arming the alarm while the door is open I then release the triger button and the dome light comes on but the alarm does not know if the door opened.

I was not your installer so I do not know how your installer did your system. You should ask them. In most cases it's pretty standard that the alarm is connected to the pre-existing door switch. Perhaps your installer installed a seperate one, or did a crappy install. Possibilities are endless.

Go to the installer and talk with them about it. If it's a factory alarm, go to the dealer and ask about it. If you bought the car with the alarm, go to the store, buy a new alarm and the shop install it for you.
