its highly unlikely that your remote start is gonna have more than a 10 amp draw since everything in that vehicle is low current......but smack me if im wrong

Why do you think they usely put two 30 amp fuses on most remote starters. have looked at how skiny them wires are i wouldint want to take any chance

Incorrect. Think about it, the remote start is duplicating you turning the key. If the van needs, say, 7 amps to start and run with the key that's all it needs for the remote start to do the same thing. In this case using a 10 amp source would be fine as long as you don't add anything high current the remote start will turn on beyond what the key would normally do. The 30 amp fuses the RS manufacturer installs are a generic size designed to cover the most possible draw in any type car, like maybe an old Chevy van that had a large power consumption from the ignition switch.

For power you can grab it at the BCM on the top plug. You will need to remove the plug and pull it down , there you will find the CONSTANT power for the BCM. It's a high amperage power input for the vehicle and this is where I normally grab the power ( without any problems ). As far as the door locks, I have successfully installed the (-) trigger resistor door locks without the use of relays. The  (-) output from the Compustar units that I've installed is enough for the door locks to operate with the need to have relays added.
