I tried both yellow wires, the first shows 12v. The second shows 5v when the key is out and 2.8v when the key is turned on. No continuity to ground in either position.

why are you checking for continuity to ground??? this is a passlock resistance wire..... did you hook up the 556L EXACTLY as it describes in the instructions??

perhaps you should go with something simple like a GMBP... which only needs 4 wires to be hooked up......

If you pop the shroud around the steering coulumn there should be a set of three wires that run up to a plug right on top of the ignition column. The wires should be yellow, tan and I believe orange(you do not need this wire). The tan is your passlock ground and the yellow is your passlock resistance wire. You do not have to make the connections at the key cylinder but by removing the shroud you should be able to follow the wires down to where they will be easy to get to.

Thanks to everyone who helped!!!
I got it working, was easier after I realized keysense had nothing to do with Passlock resistance wire...I had a mental block.
One more minor issue if anybody wants to take a stab.
When the van is running under the compustar's control, when I insert the key it stops.
Thanks,
Brad

Make sure that you have the key turned all the way to the ON position before stepping on the brake to take over otherwise the car will shut off.

It stops before stepping on the brake. As soon as the key enters the barrel.

Did you test the LIGHT GREEN wire in the ignition harness for the key sense to  make sure that the wire is a (+) when at rest and (-) when key is inserted ?

The compustar isn't connected to the keysense wire. Should I expect a problem here anyway or should it be connected?
It reacts exactly as if the brake was applied when the key is inserted.
Thanks for the help.
