ok, did a little more research and I think figured it out, I just have to find what what polarity the door triggers are when door is open.

That is correct. The system can tell when the door is open by the polarity. Knows it is closed by opposite polarity or open circuit.

Keep in mind that there will be 2 input different wires for door sense with your system One will not be used. Make sure to connect the wire to the correct wire or the system won't operate correctly. Use diodes if needed on some vehicles.

On your vehicle it should be simple. A white wire that shows positive when the door is OPEN at the underdash light. Connect it to the + door sense (trigger) input of the system.

On all of the Astro alarm products, you MUST use BOTH door trigger inputs. If the pins are POS(+) you must ground the white trigger. If they are NEG(-) you must connect the purple to 12volts.

Thanks Kar TuneMan, can you guide me to a link to find out more about these Astros? I keep giving replies basing everything on DEI and forgetting that not every system works the same way.

Definatly a concern.
