I'm curious which brands or models are most prevelent when it comes to SQ installs and competitions? I would think features like time alignment, DSP, EQ, etc.. would help tweak out the sound quality and staging. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Eclipse, Eclipse, and if you don't like one of those, then just go with Eclipse. lol Best H.U. for SQ, big step up from my old pioneer, and only $100 more.

I like alpine as well,. but it seems there quality has went down, my last head unit has been flaky, never had a problem before.  I like my pioneers as well, but they don't have the SQ.

The old guy here also recommends Eclipse. Of all the cd players I have used or sold over the years, the Eclipse line in it's price point has proven to be the #1 choice for a SQ based cd player.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

I had Alpine and Pioneer, and in my opinion, Pioneer > Alpine, SQ wise and not only.

I CARRY ECLIPSE NOW MAINLY FOR THE AVN 5495 THATS ALL IVE BEEN SELLING IN THE DOUBLEDIN VIDEO/NAVS. I THINK ILL TRY A HIGH END ECLIPSE RADIO IN THE NEXT SYSTEM I DO.

Turn YOUR caps off.

I used to recomend pioneer as in the past I had pleassant expereinces with them. Due to recent design flaws, I have switched to eclipse and no I don't sell them but I am honestWhich HU’s do you prefer for SQ? -- posted image.. I ahve also been experimenting with kenwood so far they have been decent but I won't commit until I have sold and installed more.
