Thanks for the reply.    I have found the tach wire on the power train module under the hood, but not sure where it is under the dash.

The Duramax will actually start without any delay unless very cold.   The glow plugs are supposed to be a max time of 3 seconds.

Exactly, thats why you don't need to worry about it, most rs units take over three seconds to crank anyway.. There has also been an issue of units not seeing the (-) puls from the wts wire and never cranking.. I just set them as a gas car and off they go, unless the customer requests a time delay.. never had a problem.. The tach is in the harness at the cluster along with the wts and vss wires... real easy to find...

Depending on the RS your using you may have a diesel wait to start delay built into the unit. Compustar's have this feature as a standard feature but requires the programmer to set it up in it's programming.

Does anyone know if the GM-SL2 Datalink is compatible with Crimestopper RS 1905 FM Data Port?

I want to control the rear defrost with one of the remote start auxilliary outputs (Crimestopper RS 1905 FM).   Does anyone know where the rear defrost signall wire is located?   I assume it is a momentary pulse from the pushbutton switch in the climate control section of the dash.    I would like to find the easiest access to this wire.     Also, would this be a sinking or sourcing signal?

Pin A8 in the gray connector at the BCM under the dash White wire NEG(-) needs a "latched pulse. This will NOT turn on the indicator light, OR the heated mirrors, but WILL turn on the defroster.
