what will the feature your talking about mikvot do?why would it chirp 3 times when armed by using the BLACK/ blue?is it because the domelight will be on when i arm?

yes, because of the domelight delay, when you shut the door, the domelight stays on for a while. If you arm the alarm after you shut the door, it will think one of the doors is open.You can change an option on the alarm to only make it chirp once, no matter if a door is open or not.This is why i use true door triggers when i can, especially on that truck, it adds a few minutes to the install, because of the diodes and running the wire,but you dont have to worry about having to disable a useful feature of the alarm.

if i turn this fearure(door trigger bipass chirp)off and when i arm the alarm i know ill only get the one chirp but when the dome light finally goes out will the door trigger be an active circuit or will it be bipassed because the dome light was on when armed? last question on this guys,i promise.thanks for the replies

It will only bypass that zone until the domelight goes off.....so yes, it will still trigger the alarm.

ok im back with problems.the problem is my door locks.i hooked into pink / YELLOW at green plug dkp for lock and pink/light green at green plug dkp for unlock.when i arm nothing happens,when i disarm nothing happens.if i start the truck and hit arm the winshield wipers spray and come on briefly.if i hit unarm nothing happens.any ideas?i know im hooked into the wrong wires but these are the wires the diagrams on this site and another say to use.

Go into the running board in the drivers kick and find pink/green and pink / YELLOW in the harness running towards the back of the vehicle. This is where i catch lock and unlock. They will be the only smaller guage wires of this color.

Also, check all of your wiring at the steering column, if your wipers are turning on, its possible you have a wrong wire tagged there.
