problem with sony xplod

i take it no one has any idea of what could be wrong ?? i checked all the wires all good ... the only thing i can see is that it just went out???

the amp is a sony xplod XM-2200GTX ... running 2 pioneer 10's single voice coil 4 ohm 100 rms subs ... i have it wired the only way i kno how to wire svc subs + on the amp to the + on the speaker.. the - on them amp to the - on the speaker .... i have checked all the wires ... all the connections are good .. amp gets good power ...

but would the sound just stop altogether?? or would it be distorted ??

those amps are pretty finicky. I would hook a test speaker up to the amp and see what happens. if there is no output, then your amp is dead.

take an ohm level reader and put it on the speaker out puts of the amp (pos. to pos., neg. to neg.) and see if you have any signal. The meter should give you some sort of reading if the outputs are not blown.  You can also hook up a test speaker like coppellstereo mentioned.

in the 'ohm' setting on the meter you will touch the terminals of the speaker itself.
if you want to use the meter to determine if your amp is outputting, then set it for AC current
I'm assuming the power light on the amp is lit - green?

yes the power light is green and the way it sound is that the amp is dead .... the subs still work i hooked them up to another amp they bump ... so o well i have been needing an excuse to get a bigger better system any way .... thanks for all the help sorry i was such a pain but i wanted to make sure i was not throwing away a good amp

Make sure your amp is receiving a input signal from your head unit!!! It could be something as simple as a bad rca cable to a bad headunit output. Check EVERYTHING before throwing more money into the ever growing money pit.
