you can get tach behind the cluster GREEN/ brown in blue plug

Better off heading to an injector on the 1.8T.......... right on top of the motor. Or a coil pack. Close to injectors.......

Getting at the ECU is not that bad, remove pollen filter cover, pull wiper arms, carefully remove the entire lower cowl at the bottom of windshield. Takes like 5 min to do. Pulling the cluster isn't that fun at all.......

Wherever I go, that is where I end up......

okay i hooked up everything but i am having a problem with the key ring for the bypass. for sum reason it is not starting...i tried leaving the key in the cylinder and when it starts it sound like its mis-sfiring or sumtin...missing a coil or sumtin....doesn sound like it usually does when u start it with the key itself...please help....
