Hi everyone,
I try to install my two way remote starter and alarm to my 2007 infiniti g35x. I hooked up my remote start with CAN-SL2 (ver 1.9). I got everything working fine except the vehicle start for more than 15 seconds then it shut off and restart it again. But the second attempt, I see the NO KEY in the speedometer panel. But I thought the CAN-SL2 will take care of that. Could someone tell me what is the problems?. Thanks

Your tach signal is not right. I've had this problem in the past with a few vehicles as well where it would run for almost a minute and then shut off. Try another tach wire and relearn the tach.

I think Jeff's right.
Also, you could temporarily re-program your unit for voltage sensing, as a troubleshooting tool.
If it works on voltage sense, then it's definitely the tach that's wrong......try switching to something else.

This is no tach connection on can-sl2. all you connect tach wire of can-sl2 to tach of remote start, and it will find tach itself through data link from bcm of vehicle ( you hooked data link from can-sl2 to data link of vehicle) . I still don' t know why it shut off after started, and sometimes it works perfectly.

Those tach connections aren't always the best i've had issues with some data tach connections before try a direct connection even if you just float a wire to actually test the system or put it on voltage sensing like chris mentioned.

Thanks guys. I got it to work. I guess the data tach connections does not works, and I tried to connect the tach of the remote to the tach of vehicle and still does not work, finally I switch to the voltage sensing and it works perfectly. Thanks again.

There may be something you did wrong,  the tach from the vehicle didn't learn.  Which wire did you use???

Ah sorry, I should have paid more attention the first time.
The CAN-SL2i's tach output is incredibly crappy.
It'll work about 80% of the time.
Sometimes it doesn't put out any tach signal, and the remote starter will just keep on grinding the car's starter motor, even after the engine is already running.
Those cars work just fine on voltage sense.

Hi, I have installed the alarm/remote start on my 07 infiniti g35x. I got it working perfectly, but Just one problem on the (-) door unlock. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Every time, I disarm the system, sometime it does not unlock the doors (It does disarm the system), and sometime it works (unlock and disarm the system). Could someone tells me what is the problems ?.     Thanks.
