Just wondering if anyone has ever done any carbon fiber work on a  dash, console or pillars and if so, how hard was it?

I haven't physically worked with it myself but an ex-employer of mine made sure I was familiar with the process. I wouldnt say it was hard per se but very, very involved. Much more than fiberglass. Not to be too short but I also dont want to be too long I will try to give you an overview. First you need to create the piece (dash, door panel, etc.) in fiberglass. Then you need to make a mold of the piece. Next you need to set up all the material to vacuum bag it and lay the carbon fiber and epoxy and hook up a vacuum pump to suck out all the air and make sure the piece comes out smooth. It's very involved and expensive but if you really want to do it go for it!

Pure Noize
