harbor freight tapes. ~4bucks for 10packs. These tapes>>>your 3M tapes. Cheap and effective.

@ guys "tearing" tape!!! U cut everytime!! Oh and make sure what u cut with is sharp and fingertips are fairly clean...that should eliminate the curling and it makes it look better.

Here in Australia I use Nitto only and with that name, yes from Japan... electrical tape - Page 2 -- posted image.

I use to be confused but now I'm not so sure:)

Sometimes you can get a bad batch of that harbor freight tape. I know i did and it was worse than using the 3 for a dollar stuff at Walmart. I check lowes often as they have Super 88 on sale for $1 if you can catch it.
