With out the pedal pressed:

test the wire with the Ignition OFF

test the wire with the Ignition ON

test the wire with the key in the start position

With the pedal pressed;

test the wire with the Ignition OFF

test the wire with the Ignition ON

test the wire with the key in the start postition

With this information for every wire at the switch, determining what type of the clutch switching system you have will be easy

just wandering, does your 240sx has a cruise control in it ?

if it does, there should be another set of switch at the clutch then check the correct wire there

it has crusie control. i connected the same wire i connected to the GREEN / WHITE wire on the switch to the upper clutch switch i tried both and they both didn't seem to be ground so i connected it anyway and tried it and now the clutch is bypassed all the time. not just when i remote start it like its supposed to. any ideas.

the GREEN / WHITE should be tested ground when the clutch pedal is depressed only

If it is, then connect the (-) RED / black from cn2 to the GREEN / WHITE at the clutch switch and no way else

my clutch has two switches. one at the top that senses the clutch not pressed in and one on the floor where you have to hold the clutch all the way down. to start it th top switch must be released and the floor switch must be engaged.

yes, one is for your cruise control, the other is for the starter.

from what you described, i believe the one on the floor is for the starter. the GREEN / WHITE wire should be on it.

like i said, only use the (-) RED / black from cn2, connect it to the GREEN / WHITE on the bottom switch

do not run n connect any wire from the top to the bottom switch. otherwise you might get a backfeed and cause the clutch bypassed all the time

I connected it to just the floor switch and it didn't work.
