Hey everyone!
Need some advice on an alarm I just got installed. The alarm is the CompuSTAR Pro P2WSSR, and the car is a 2005 Accord 6-Speed Coupe Navi.
After getting the car back from the installer, we went through the many options of the alarm, and I noticed something on the remote start that seemed funny. The funny thing was the starter crank. The car would start, but the starter would keep starting for another split second or so. The installer explained it was normal, and nothing could be done to fix this problem.
Well, I've had many RS alarms before, and usually this problem was the result of a bad adjustment time or something of the nature.
Please look at the video below, and you'll see right away what I'm talking about after I remote start the alarm.

Thanks!

your installer did not hook up the tach wire and program the tach. take it back and have it done properly

looks like the car is using voltage sense. rudydapump is right, bring it back and tell him to set the tach. it should stop the second the car starts. It might not be a problem now, but in the future when it really damages ur starter, ur gonna cry.

By the way,
Is there a way I can find out if the tach wire is installed?
Anything I can check on the controller or in the install?
Thanks!

While vehicle is running, press the foot brake and press the remote start button long enough until you hear a single click or a single light flash on the vehicle. If you get a single flash, then you have the proper tach wire and the tach is learned. If the installer used alternator sense, you will get 3 flashes and clicks.

Well,
I went ahead and tried the procedure to find out which type of sense was used, and the car kicked back 3 flashes, then paused, and had one single flash.
so 3 flashes / pause / single flash.
what does that mean?
Thanks!

option 2-10 is not in default setting 1
that's what that means.
tach is blue/red on passenger side of center console.
I have had compustars with tach used overcrank worse than yours.
