Hello folks, new here. I searched and came up with nothing so I'm asking here.

So it looks like I'm down to these two, which would you buy and why? :)

Both are about $300-325 so it's not a consideration really.

Is efficiency more important or Signal to Noise Ratio?

Provided I read correctly and did the formulas right:

The Eclipse has 46% efficiency with >90% Signal to Noise Ratio.

The PG has 43% efficiency with >100 Signal to Noise Ratio.

In looking them over closely the Eclipse is much more configurable, in terms of crossover points and bass boost. Just trying to make sure I get the right gear...

Please help me decide and thank you all in advance for educating me.

Eclipse is known to adhere to higher standards than Kleenex Gold. I'd love to have an Eclipse in my car.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

4 gauge amp kit, 80A fuse. (sized right?)

14 gauge for sub. (should I use 12?)

16 gauge for speakers. (should I use 14?)

X-over points:

Front and Rear: Hi-Pass 30-500Hz (where would you set it?)

Sub: Lo-Pass 50-500Hz (where would you set it?)

Bass Boost 32-64Hz up to 8db (where would you set it? would you even use it?)

Eclipse again, no questions, do not pass go. The amp has 3 30amp fuses in it so ideally a larger fuse on the main power line if you could. The speaker wire size will be fine, no harm in going a little bit larger though. Low pass the subs to start around 110 and hp the front and rears around the same area, maybe a little lower. Play with the crossover points with the sub off to see how it changes at all volume levels.

It's 25Ax3 on the fuses, so I figured an 80A fuse would be right, or am I wrong? In reading the FAQ I thought that was right.

This is the kit I'm looking to go with, it gives me 30ft of 12 gauge for the sub and I should use 14 for the speakers then?

So I should start at 110Hz and go from there? No over lap on the Hz?
