eclipse cd3200 blown fuse?

I was driving home from work today listening to music and suddenly there was a slight pop in my speakers and my head unit froze up .I stopped turned off the rig and the faceplate stayed lit up. I disconnected the faceplate from the receiver then put it back on and now I have no power in my h/u did I blow a fuse?-A vision without a plan is just a hallucination-

Did you check the fuses? Honestly... How would WE know? You are there AT the car, and therefore quite a bit closer than we are. Check them, and then if they're blown, then yes, you blew a fuse... (or maybe even more...) If not, then there is likely something wrong with your deck.It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I do not think a blown fuse is your problem.  Sounds more like a broken radio to me.

I was asking because i dont have the tools to take my radio out and just wanted an idea of what the problem might be so that when i took it to the shop they wouldnt be able to burn me. -A vision without a plan is just a hallucination-

Why do you think anyone will "burn" you?  Take it back where you bought it, especially if it's under warranty.Support the12volt.com

Removing a radio is usually pretty simple...If your really concerned about paying for stuff you dont need...You need to pull the radio out...Bench test...then decide next course of action... Even stop by a shop and have them release the radio for you...Should be super cheap...if not free...!M.E.C.P & First-Class

The reason is because ive had that happen to me before,I took my truck to a shop and had them test my h/u ,The tech supposedly tested it and told me the deck was toast I had bought it from an online retailer and did not want to wait for a new h/u under warranty from them so I bought one from the shop and sent the "defective h/u in .It turned out the fuse in the h/u was blown and the online retailer sent the same h/u back to me with a new fuse and the h/u worked fine!!! So I was out 300 bucks for the new h/u plus the shipping of the old h/u.thats why i ask-A vision without a plan is just a hallucination-

Yeah...That kinda sucks...        Did you pay them for diagnostic on radio...???  If so...I would of probably gave them a call...and returned the radio I purchased from them...But anyhow...You really need to pull the radio...Past checking the vehicles fuses...Most have either the blade fuse,usually around the harness...or the glass fuse in-line w/ power and accessory wires...So basically you have to pull that radio , before we can even begin to start guessing...??? I am an Idiot said that just from the description you gave...it sounds to him like it imight be the radio itself...? Do you own a Multi-meter...? If someone walked up to the shop and asked to use a set of radio keys...And handed me 5-10 bucks...No problem...! Then there will be no worries about good radio or not...buying another or not...!M.E.C.P & First-Class

I bought some radio keys today and pulled it checked the connections with a dmm everything was good on the vehicle side of the harness,so I assume that the h/u is bad correct?-A vision without a plan is just a hallucination-
