Just had a Viper 5701 remote starter isntalled and it's advertisted with a 2000' range which is a load of crap. Is there anyway to extend the range?

perfect placement. hmmm....i've never had a problem with range on a DEI although i have read somewhere that the "advertized" range is always clear line of sight distance. i wonder if thats where the "2000' range" comes from?

No clue but I'm less than 500 feet away from it and it wont work at times. I was wondering if hooking it into my radio antenna would be a good idea or would it cause interference?

When I have a range problems, I always stat by putting a fresh battery in the remote.

also try holding the remote to your chin, I don't know why but it seems to have always worked for me

it works slightly better when you hold the transmitter to you chin because it turns your whole body into an antenna(at least thats the theory).
