2001 ford focus door locks

Just curious if anyone has had luck adding actuators to this vehicle? I got the driver side in and they lock/unlock fine but the customer says she cant open the door fron the inside of the car. I used the little clamps that hold the cables tight(so you can strip then out) I am having trouble being able to mount the motors and get them inline with the cable. The cable in the car comes out of the door handle and slopes quickly down to the latch. There is not a good way to get at a straight section of the cable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Brian

Every Focus here has power locks but the primary trick on other Ford vehicles without was to strip the plastic back about 11/2" then clamp both sides then run motor and rod preferably AT THE SAME ANGLE AS THE DIRECTION OF PULL. the only other answer is to get inside the lock mechanism, go on the Internet and look up a company called Wolf electronics, they made a custom kit for UK Fords which might help.

Forget Wolf, look up Abacus Car Alarms UK, they even show you a pictorial  "how to" on the similar UK Fiesta, they also do a custom kit for the Focus, although as I said I've never seen a Focus over here without.

Yep that is how I've done it. Its tricky tho! I found spal actuators worked good because of the squared fastner fits right into the mechanism.

I beleive the install bay makes some clamps for the specific application of cable locks. I have used them before and they work great
