Just installed a 5701 in a 1996 nissan altima. The 1-Way works flawlessly. I am having error lights on the 2-way remote.
I verified all zones secure, and waited to post until today after I got new batteries for the remote.
I have deleted both remotes and reprogrammed them.
I disconnected the battery for a over 30 minutes. I have everything applicable hooked up except the tach wire which really doesn't have any bearing on this.
What happens is that the 2-way function RED LED goes off and the top AMBER LED flashes. No abnormailties from siren or antenna LED. Funny thing is that sometimes the 2-way beeps and sometimes it doesn't!
Is there any way to clear the remote memory? I tried shorting the battery contacts, but that didn't work.
How do you reset the brain?

I've done mercedes (with those awesome vacuum locks!), volvo, bmw, etc. I thought Nissan was gonna be easy! This freaking little car required two isolation relays and then another relay for a trunk solenoid I decided to put in (this was DEI's fault though, solenoid should have a trigger). Time consuming, but easy enough, however, what made this install hellacious was disconnecting an unused 1996 keyless/alarm module. The single owner I bought from said it hadn't worked since the late 90's!. It had obviously been wired by a complete idiot. Well, after fixing all the connections and making sure the old alarm connections were properly terminated I'm quite disappointed with the outcome!

{p class=Msonormal}Here is the list of everything I hooked up, I put a Y next to the wires I used and left blank the wires I didn’t hook up.{SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"} {/SPAN}I know how to wire the vehicle, it’s the control module I’m worried might need something put to ground, etc.{SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"} {/SPAN}BTW the car is a 1996 Nissan Altima GXE with no factory alarm.{SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"} {/SPAN}The door pin, trunk pin, hood pin, brake shutdown all work fine.{SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"} {/SPAN}The lock, unlock, sensor/siren and remote start all work fine.{SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"} {/SPAN}I read this is a common issue and some people have put a 10k resistor on the antenna wire and some people pulled the fuse from the brain.{SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"} {/SPAN}If either of these work, please let me know and let me know how to pull the brain’s fuse if that will work.{/P}
