I need a little help trying to choose between the Viper 5200 alarm system and the Easycare alarm system.
Does anyone have either of these or know anything about them? What are the pros and cons?
I have both @ my disposal and looking to put one in the wife's car.
Any help be greatly appreciated
Thx in advance

I can get both for $100....the only thing I see that is missing from the Easycar is the antenna and the pad for the knock sensor pad (there is the sensor just not the sticker on it). As for the Viper I can't find a parts list to see if anything missing. I can see from a pic that it seems to be missing the trunk/hood pin, other than that I can't tell.
If have any idea what the Viper parts are it would sure help. I was leaning towards the Viper myself but if can't get the parts then no sense.

In total you should have

A primary harness with 12 wires on it

an auxillary harness with eight wires

the door lock harness which has seven wires

the immobiliser wiring which has three heavy gauge wires on it

The led, the valet switch, the antenna and it's wiring,  and the control module along with the remotes! The pin switch issue is minor!

Hey t&t tech...
I have gone through the box and here is what I have:
The primary with 12 wires (need replace one cause fell out. Yellow from what 3002 install guide says)
Door lock harness with 7 wires (looks like a ribbon)
A 6 pin plug...yellow, green, purple (all looped over)
The LED
Valet button
Antenna with wire harness
Control Module
1 LCD remote
There is a 3 pin plug @ top left of control module but only has 2 wires (blue, missing, green)
A DEI Stinger Doubleguard Shock Sensor
2 Sirens with no plugs @ all
I don't seem to have the auxiliary harness with 8 wires, nor do I see where it would attach to the module

No the door lock harness doesn't look like a ribbon! The 5002 also doesn't come with a shock sensor, the shcok sensor on that unit is onboard and adjustable via the lcd remote!  The missing harness is the power lock harness! Sirens don't come with plugs!  The eight wire harness isn't really essential to the install, depending on the vehicle, so chances are you can work without it!

A six pin plug?

I went to local stereo shop and found out I'm missing:
1 - XCRS 500M Relay Satellite
2 - 5-Pin Starter Harness (Status, Hoodpin, Brake Switch, Tach and Neutral Safety Switch)
I'm planning on installing it in my wife's 1994 Mustang. Installing it early as I'm doing work on the interior so since have it apart, I want run all the wiring. Plan on upgrading stereo and stuff so would like it in ahead of time.
Can it be installed as it is now, then when I find out about getting the other 2 harness's add them in? Found a number to a company that can possibly get parts for the Viper (calling Monday morn) and another stereo shop I know is going ask his supplier on Monday about what I'm missing.
Reason said looked like a ribbon is because wires still together and not separated. Reminded me of a computer hard drive ribbon...lol
If the shock sensor doesn't come with and is on board, why does it plug into the unit? The model is 791XV...thought was 5002.
I really do appreciate your help

Well your heading said 5002, so i was working with that, a 791xv is a totally different alarm, You can install without the xcrs but you will nedd that 5 pin harness though! That unit does have an off board shock sensor!

And you are correct about calling that harness a ribbon!

I posted 5002 because that is what was told was until went talk to an installer and he pointed out that it was a 791XV.
What is the XCRS for exactly? When I call about the parts I'm going get price and availability on both. I want put as complete a system in as I can. My wife has been waiting a long time for the car she has and I want keep it and everything I install safe.
Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated....

XCRS - extreme capacity relay satellite for your start wire, ignition, acc and power to the brain.
