Thank in advance for your time..

Just getting ready to start a remote start install on my 09 mdx. Was hoping someone could help a bit. Pkall and a viper responder 1. have not even really figured out how to get started with the pkall.

Frustrated since the pins were listed wrong on the pkall diagram, but I believe i have everything connected. Brown ignition to pkall pink and green data to purple data. Blue to - when running.. Can't even get anything else to light up, Does anyone have a step by step guide, or pkall troubelshooting steps.. ie whatever you used to complete your install? I just can't seem to find anything on the subject. I have done a lot of 12 volt installs carputers etc..

Did you have to flash the pkall or anything like that?  I know that people will offer to flash them for you, but I'm not even getting power now I believe.  Where does it take it's power from?

Do the responder 1 connections need to be made, and which ones need to be made?

Sorry for the book, just frustrated.  More than happy to troubleshoot, but can't get pointed in the right direction.

you still need power and ground from the 4pin connector 1.

if you want to make your life simple, buy an idatalink ads-al-ca flashed with the right firmware. it will do locks, trunk release, disarm, more through data. all the hard work is done for you.
if you want to stick with the pkall, follow the w2w installation. from your remote start, you still need to wire lock, unlock, parkinglight, disarm, rearm. these wires will be in the kick panel. sometimes you have to go into the drivers door.

I agree with tedmond.
The MDX is probably the worst car I'v ever dealt with as far as door panel removal, running wires through the molex into the door.....and then on top of that, you need to somehow run up to a total of 5 wires through that annoying (and greasy) molex connector: arm, disarm, lock, unlock, and hatch release.
Even if you're only doing a 1-button starter, you still need to run two wires in there for disarm and unlock.
Unless you have an extra hour or two to spare, I'd just do exactly what tedmond said, and get the ADS ALCA (or Flashlogic FLCAN or Omegalink OM-something-or-other) and save lots of time, as well as not hacking into the door panel of your nice luxury car.
If you're a DEI fan (or need to return your PKALL for credit with a DEI-only dealer), they list the DBALL and XK09. I haven't tried either, but they should offer a similar feature set and installation to the ALCA.
I think Fortin (ifar.ca) probably also has a module that'll do your car.
Anyway, if you're set on using the PKALL, you should only have three connections, just like it shows in the guide:
ground-when-running is blue/white on module, to blue/white on Viper
ignition is pink from module, to ignition wire in car
data is PURPLE / white from module to data wire in car

the alternatives in bypasses are
idatalink: ads-al-ca (multi) or ads-dlsl-ca2 (solo)
fortin: EVO-can or EVO-All
xpresskits: DBALL or XK09 (the DBALL would be a better option)
i would recommend using the idatalink or fortin personally.
on that note, you should reconsider, and get a remote start with keyless entry. Once the vehicle is started, keyless features not longer work from the factory remote.
as what chris mentioned, the door molex is horrible to work on. Running speaker wires into the door is not favorable when i did one. And careful if you take the door panel off, those white clips are cheap, they break very easily in cold weather.
