I have the wire Diagram for the Avant Guard 4, but when it comes to the power door locks section it says: "See Door Lock/Unlock section of this manual"

I must not have the whole manual, because door locks are never discussed in the 24 pages I have.

I don't understand what they wires mean:

WHITE/ Green (door lock comm) ????

Gray/Orange (door unlock n.c.) what does n.c. mean??????

Gray/Green (door lock n.c.) n.c. ????????

WHITE/ orange (Door unlock comm) ?????

RED / Green (door lock n.o.) n.o. ??????

RED / orange (door unlock n.o.) n.o. ???????

I tested all these wires and I don't get ground from any of these wires, should I?  Any and all help would be very appreciated... Please help... I desparatly want to put my car back together. The locks are aftermarket spals and rest at neg. I bought them from the link at the top of this page from Comando Alarms.

Thank you

Ramsey Boyd

WHITE/ Green (door lock comm) ????

  • Goes to your LOCK wire on vehicle

Gray/Orange (door unlock n.c.) what does n.c. mean??????

  • NOT USED

Gray/Green (door lock n.c.) n.c. ????????

  • NOT USED

WHITE/ orange (Door unlock comm) ?????

  • Goes to your UNLOCK wire on the vehicle

RED / Green (door lock n.o.) n.o. ??????

  • This is your polarity selector on the system. If you have a (+) system add 12 volt constant to this wire. If you have a (-) type system, ground this wire

RED / orange (door unlock n.o.) n.o. ???????

  • This is your polarity selector on the system. If you have a (+) system add 12 volt constant to this wire. If you have a (-) type system, ground this wire

All these wires are for the internal relay in the CPU. This is very helpful to installer's because it reduces the need to wire in outboard relays for the locking systems.
