Yes they are but DEI didn't show it needed anything but a 555U or I would have had a 456G and a 555G on standby. I usually do my own WRAP the Key and use a relay but the Transponder in this unit is Quite different. It CHANGES Code and resistance ever so often. What I am looking for is a way to bypass the DELPHI transponder unit (like where it plugs in) for an emergency (Damn I don't have a correct bypass module in stock and already have the car here) bypass. I hate it when sales doesn't check the charts for the needed bypass (in this case the WRONG bypass was listed anyhow) and we have to take the blame
(SALES: "Oh the installer didn't have the right module for your vehicle in stock."). I don't like to permenantly bypass the KEY SECURITY but it has been done a lot.
I worked for C & A Controls for 8 years (They built LAZY START and others for several brands) and gained a lot of experience in Southern Engineering "Field Fixes". This one is a little more difficult with all of the DATA interfaces.
