Hi there

Ive just installed a clifford soriars 5 with intelistart 4 into my pug 206 gti 180 2004 but need the wiring colours for the car as the remote start wont work and i think its due to the factory alarm.

Yes to immobiliser, yes to a very strange ignition system.  Does your switch on the binnacle at the display do both locks and hazards?  I  wrote the book on this PITA it's got a 2nd ignition which FEEDS back  triggering the alarm on R/S, you have to relay isolate when the R/S is activated.  Unfortunately the car is way too nasty for a rookie, see my many previous posts on the subject.  You can even forget picking up tacho at the injectors , because the wiring is epoxy coated!

problem ive got is that the alarm wont lock the car all the time the engine is running ie when im setting it up to remote start in the future. Ive got the tacho wire fine and the alarm had read it and learned it.

only problem ive got now is i can only remote start the car with the arm disarmed and in automatic mode which if i can i want to sort out as id like the alarm and remote start to work as it should.

also need a diode or maybe a relay wiring diagram as there are 3 ignitions on the car and only 2 outputs on the alarm??

yes centre switch on the dash controls both locking and hazards. as i say the whole alarm side it things is working fine its just the remote start thats palying up and wont arm and shut down the engine when i get out

I was going to suggest you PM me giving me your phone number and would talk you through but let's try it this way, first are you using 5 wire locking as per the Solaris/DEI instructions at the square left hand plug on the BSI?  If you've gone to the lock /flasher button forget it, it won't work. Now remove the steering wheel lower cowling and that lower panel (with the twist plastic screw).  Look at the leads coming from the ignition. You have a bunch going vertically. These would be 12v+, 1st ign and starter, all wired normaly.  From the ign switch are another pair, going to a plug on the BSI box.  One is the second ign, prob GREEN/ YELLOW (yes I know that's also the colour for the grounds but that's Peugeot for you) and the other is ACC. Wire acc normally (orange from I/start) and treat the second ignition thus:- using a standard Bosch type 5 pin relay, blue/orange (GWR) output from I/start to relay 85, 12v+ with a 30amp fuse to 86 and 87, key side of the green yellow to 87a and engine side to 30. This is the ONLY  way to achieve this. Also suggest a 1N4004 diode across the 85/86 connectors with the band towards 86. You don't have three ignitions, you have two and an ACC and the I/Start lll or lV has enough dedicated leads for this. I should know, I do about 1 206 with an R/S every month.

cheers for that good bit of info but made no difference so could i run through with you which wires ive got and double check where they go for the ignition system?

Istart ive got GREEN/ Blue - Ignition 1, ORANGE / Gray - Ignition 2, Orange - Acc Output

If im right in thinking these are the 3 wires im having problems with so could you confirm where these are to go as the wire colours on the car side you have got spot on and this is the bit thats getting me as when i/start trys to start the car it just turns over and wont fire.

Also when i try and prime the system to remote start it later ie get out with key in hand then am it and it shuts down. It all stays one once key has been removed but the alarm wont arm and shut the car down.

I have all the locking working fine from taking the wires from the drivers door but cant understand why the alarm wont arm while i/start is running the car.

plus if i go to automatic mode the i/start will then work but wont start as the alarm will go off because the ignition has been switched on??

Read my last post again, you've got ign 1 and 2 the wrong way round, ign 2 should be isolated as my last post  to solve the arming disarming problems, also triggering the the alarm when attempting rem start, also do ign 1 and 2 the way I showed you otherwise pushing the brake won't disengage R/S when you get in the car, next don't need to go near the doors for the locking, pick up ther motor wires where I showed you, use two relays in 5 wire configuration as on this site (see relay secftion). Also hope you took your turn signals from the other large plug on the BSI board, also, door and boot/hatch contacts are on one of the smaller quadplugs at the rear, OR a small straight plug, front right. I can't be more specific because being Peugeot they made Valeo change the plug configuration on the BSI box every few months. Also isn't getting at that parking brake lead at the centre console a joy?!  Lastly it's about the easiest car to install window closers.
