Hi All;

I am installing a alarm/remote start combo. on my 2002 Ford Explorer 4-door and i don't know how to bypass the factory GEM module wake-up module so the alarm doesn't go off after the doors unlock after about 30 minutes, does unlocking the doors wake up the GEM module or is there something special i have to do for it not to interfere with the factory alarm?  I would appreciate any help as soon as possible i have the truck apart and that is my last thing to do to it.  Thanks to all!

02_explorer.pdf  This will only stop the aftermarket alarm from falsing. If your vehicle does have a factory alarm, you will need to hook your aftermarket alarm to the factory disarm wire which is

You need to wake up the BCM so you CAN unlock the doors. When it's a sleep, the locks will not work with an aftermarket transmitter.

You can wake it up as stated above, or you can also send a negative pulse to ANY button on the pad on the door. Look inside the door.

KarTuneMan;

You said you can also send a - pulse to any button on the keypad on the door? If i use the relay option that is stated above from MIKVOT will that work better than me looking for wires in the door? I want the easiest option there is so i can get my truck back running.... thanks!  :)

The relay diagram I gave is just to prevent falsing of your aftermarket alarm......there are multiple issues with the vehicle, and i wasn't sure exactly which problem you were having. Just to make sure.....you are saying that the factory alarm is sounding when you unlock your vehicle after thirty minutes? Or, the doorlocks don't work after 30 minutes? If it's either of these, than the disarm wire i listed above will correct it. Now, if the vehicle is sitting, and your aftermarket alarm goes off for no reason, then you need the relay diagram i posted.

I read a few posts on here but i cant seem to get one exactly how to get the doorlocks to unlock without BS.
