Stereo Wiring for 04 VW Touareg

on a 2004 vw touareg non navi

iam upgrading to aftermarket hu and amp

Would any one know the turn on lead color and looking for the wiring diag on the amp also

thanks i have that connector and now any help in the amp set up. car has 1o speakers  thinking of using one or 2 4 ch amps

Factory amp wiring...

LF- If equipped, the amplifier is in the right rear quarter panel. On vehicles with amplifier the low range wires are red - BROWN / red at the amplifier, 23 pin plug, pins 3 and 2, or 24 pin plug, pins 9 and 8. The mid range wires are red - BROWN / red at the amplifier, 23 pin plug, pins 6 and 9, or pins 3 and 2. The high range wires are red - BROWN / red at the amplfier, 23 pin plug, pins 5 and 8, or pins 9 and 6.

RF- If equipped, the amplifier is in the right rear quarter panel. On vehicles with amplifier the low range wires are red - BROWN / red at the amplifier, 23 pin plug, pins 11 and 12. The mid range wires are red - BROWN / red at the amplifier, 23 pin plug, pins 18 and 15, or 24 pin plug, pins 12 and 11. The high range wires are red - BROWN / red at the amplfier, 23 pin plug, pins 14 and 17, or pins 18 and 15.

LR- If equipped, the amplifier is in the right rear quarter panel. On vehicles with amplifier the low range wires are blue - BROWN / blue at the amplifier, 24 pin plug, pins 4 and 10. The high range wires are blue - BROWN / blue at the amplifier, 24 pin plug, pins 1 and 7.

RR- If equipped, the amplifier is in the right rear quarter panel. On vehicles with amplifier the low range wires are blue - BROWN / blue at the amplifier, 24 pin plug, pins 3 and 2. The high range wires are blue - BROWN / blue at the amplifier, 24 pin plug, pins 6 and 5.

Center channel- gray - BROWN / gray, amplifier, 24 pin plug, pins 12 and 11

should i wire it to a one 4 channel or two 4 channel amps.

to get all all speaker was going to use 10  and not the center channel.

Are you replacing the factory speakers?  If so then you should use one amplifier channel per speaker.  If you are trying to use the factory speakers, then power the factory amp.

Yea, not much to gain if you aren't replacing it all. Chances are the factory amp/speakers are gonna sound better anyway. If it was mine i would leave it alone and maybe just add a subwoofer/amp...

for now i am keeping the factory speakers and there is a problem with the factory amp.thats way i am replacing it with a low power amp. the oem head unit non navi is time for a upgrade. to 7inch dvd.

i dont even see how the panels come out to get to the oem amp anyway.

the set up is a female cousin and she is not into the bass killer sound. but wants the screen and ipod setup.

but the oem amp is a problem

is it true the  mids and highs are 4 ohm and the low speakers are 2ohm?

so i really cant wire all the speakers in one door with out dropping the ohms to 1ohm
