Im getting one sub and listen to rap. ( i had 2 RF 15's with a 1001bd but dont want to get a new alternator so im switching it all) but neways is the 12'' titanium really worth it if im going to have one sub? How would i wire 2 351M's (rockford fosgate)amps to one sub so the amps get a 2 ohm load? or would i have to run just one amp? And what would u guys suggest running if i dont want to much power? would a good amp that runs 500 watts work like the 501bd?
thanks

Eclipse Titanium SW9122
12" sub
4ohm DVC
750 RMS
1500 Peak
Eclipse Aluminum SW8122DVC
12" sub
4ohm DVC
500 RMS
1000 Peak
Rockford Fosgate Power 501bd
500 x 1 @ 2ohms (based on 14.4 volts)
300 x 1 @ 4ohms (based on 14.4 volts)
Rockford Fosgate Power 500bd
600 x 1 @ 2ohms (based on 14.4 volts)
300 x 1 @ 4ohms (based on 14.4 volts)
Going by the specs, the Eclipse Aluminum SW8122DVC and either RF amp I listed would be a great match at a 2ohm load. Keep in mind that RF bases specs on 14.4 volts, so you may want to consider the 500bd instead of the 501bd. I ran a 500bd for about a year and had absolutely no problems with it (other then my HE's at the time kept blowing!)
Since you don't want to upgrade your alt, and are looking to keep things simple, then why spend the money on the Titanium line if you don't plan on getting an amp and alt that can properly push one. Just MO.

Well i want the best bass I can get without going to high on amps so i dont mess up the electrical system or have a get a new alternator and all that crap. Will one aluminum 12 hit in a sealed enclosure? i listen to rap.
thanks

From what i have heard on those eclipses, they will pound your head and sound good. bberman is the one to ask, he runs the titaniums.

Should be fine. You might also want to consider the JBL BP600.1 if you're tight on money.
And it's not really 650 watts with the Kicker. They (like most manufacturers) rate on either 13.5 of 14.4 volt electrical systems (not a standard 12 volt system). But you should get at least 600 watts @ 2ohms with it, which is still a great match for an SW8122DVC IMO.

It will defiantly hit I would suggest that you put it in a sealed enclosure with .75-1.0 cu/ft. and give it around 600 watts RMS.

would the kicker SX run the titanium with a 1 farad or would i be better off going with the aluminum. The money isnt a problem on the subs and amp, i just dont want to mess with all the electrical stuff having to do wth the engine and that mess. but would that setup work good?
