I have 2 memphis power reference 12"  dvc subs in a slot ported box, this is to big for my new truck. Im tired of removing the box when the family needs a ride. I need help with 2 10" dvc subs that will not break the bank. and will sound as good as the 2 12" subs. My amp is a kenwood exceleron 811D 1000 watts at 1 ohm.

thanks

Drop the amp (I've got a kenwood amp and it fried my sub, any high volume and the amp would start clipping) then get a set of Infinity Kappa (or Kappa perfects if you can afford) 10" subs.  Hook those (the Kappas) up to a 500 watt amp (MTX is a good choice).  Make a sealed box and drop them in there.  All set!  Well that's my recomendation.  I've got one Kappa 10" sealed w/ 200ish watts running to it and it hits.  Those subs are great for the price and the everyday listener.

Well, I like the amp I only have it 1/4 on the gain and it drives the heck out of my memphis 12's. When I hae the doors closed, My windows on my extended cab come out about 1/2 inch. I just need great 10" subs

What's the power at 2 (or 4) ohms?  I would still go with the infinitys.  Great sub, great performance, great price.

power @ 4ohm is 400rms and @ 2 ohm is 800 rms. I had some alpine sws dvc at one time and they hit pretty hard, anything that will top that will be great

Those kenwood excelon amps are damn good.  My friend has a 500W rms one running his two 12" memphis subs.  The gain and bass bost are below 1/4 and you can hear him coming a block away.  Damn good amp.

Yeah pick up two 10" Kappa (or kappa perfect) 4ohm DVC wire in parallel and rock it.  The subs need like .7 cu ft so two should fit under a seat of a truck.  Might have to be custom to the truck but it can be done.

Yea, The kenwood amps are great thanks, I Have come up with either Infinity perfect or Alpine typr R,Maybe Rockford Fosgate Punch stage 3, I have already made 2 seperate boxes, was kinda hard. I thinking about doing a fiberglass box under the seats( Im still reading up on the procedures though). out of these subs mentioned . Are the infinity's still best.

I would take the Infinity's out of the three mentioned.  You might look into a JL w3v2, you may get a slightly better deal on them then the Infinity's.  However, if the cost for the w3v2's and the Kappa Perfects is the same, id go with the Kappa's, if its w3v2 vs. Kappa (not perfect) its a wash but id buy the JL out of brand loyalty.  I am a JL guy, i bias so sue me.  Why not trash the 2 sub idea and just go with a single 12w6v2?  Great SQ, Great SPL, Just a great sub, dont know about the mounting depth you have to work with though.  Have you considered a Stealth box?  What kind of ride do you have?  Consider one larger box, and one great sub.

I have heard those Memphis subs once, maybe twice, and remember them being good for a sub-100 dollar sub.  But I would rank anything that has been mentioned so far better then those in terms of SQ.

alpines are good.  a previous post talked about it.  someone said the alpines are better ported.  I wouldn't touch the Rockford's b/c they've more or less lost their good rep.  Both infinity's or alpines are good.  (I would go with the infinities myself).
