i have a 1986 monte carlo ss running an audiobahn a8000t 8000 watt amp with two audiobahn single 4 ohm 12's since adding hte system my volt meter is reading like 14-15 volt in the dash any reason for this and could this cause any problem? i have a cap but have not got around to putting it in.

and what voltage do you think your system should read? 14.4volts is what it SHOULD be when car is running... 12v is only when the car is off and it is running off battery, not bat+alt.
