I'm  installing a remote start in a 2008 mecury sable using the key overide sl2 module from crimestopper. The only issue i can see is removing the steering column cover to acess the wiring for the bypass module. I removed the three screws from the underside of the cover but what i was wondering is if there is a trick to releasing the plastic tabs on the cover without breaking them. I have tried everyting but it seems like they don't want to release

Either push really hard above or below the seam. This will release the tabs from their locking position on the opposing side of the plastic.
