I have a viper 5000 installed on my mitsubishi fto. I know about programming in new/replacement remote fobs, but can I add a different fob to my alarm, such as a clifford 650mkII? the model number of the fob is 7151X. I thought with it being DEI it should be able to but just wanted to check first

there are four remotes that will work in your system:

489V, 474V, 473V, 471C

That's all.

thanks for the quick response - I asked because I was reading here
http://www.drdetailshop.com/7151X.htm
after reading the green text on the right I was under the impression that this fob MIGHT be compatible with my alarm, but your response has cleared that up for me - many thanks
