viper 5301 problems

hi guys just installed viper 5301 remote start in 63 nova
remote start works fine
problem is starting the car with the key
it starts but will not shut down
i disconnected battery both terminals
still running
only way i can get it to shutdown is
pull the coil wire and it shocked me good
with the msd
did i hook up the ignition wires wrong
alarm - ouput to 85
ign 12v 86
wire from ignition switch 87a
other half of cut ignition wire to 30
also purple wire from alarm to 30

Those joins you made were supposed to be the starter not the ignition, the relay is holding on to your ignition.

Armed out (orange) to 85, ingition key side to 86 starter key side to 30, starter side and starter feed from remote to 87a

ok now i have nothing the red 12v constant wire goes to 86 do i cut this wire?
ppl cut ignition side to 30
other side to 87a and ppl starter output wire from remote start also to 87a
orange to 85
pink ignition 1 to pink on ignition switch
red 12v constant fused to constant 12v
when i disconnect the battery does it restore defaults
on the remote start as in put it back to manual transmission mode?

Forget the relay, just look at page 11 or 12 of the install manual, green to starter switch and purple to starter side. That's it.

What about the pink ignition wire
and the orannge ground when armed

There is no green just thr green door input

Jeff, let's start again, I just looked at the wiring diagramme for this unit  and I'm wondering why you needed a relay in the first place.

Right now we're getting somewhere, orange on alarm to relay 85, join from pink to relay 86, starter wire from keyswitch to 87a, purple from alarm, join to starter, starter side at 30. Out of interest it still won't work, how do you intend to prime the fuel as it's probably a carbed car?

What do u mean join From pink to 86
do u mean cut my pink ignition wire and hook
the pink wire from alarm to this or cut and join all3
i m hoping to run a solenoid on the carb its been done before
i cant get the remote start to work
i got headlights flashing with a relay that was easy
