Hey All, hope someone can help me out.

So i've wired the CM6000 according to the lists that have been posted on this site. I've also downloaded the manual for the CM6000 off this site. I've installed relays according to the lists on this site. I've even managed to get my hands on the Nissan Manual that the shops use with 1000+ pdf's.

List of problems:

- Nowhere can i find the parking brake wire which is needed for the remote start, i can physically see a wire running to the parking brake but there is no voltage in it. There is no listing of this wire on any documentation. Should i figure out which wire it is running into the guage cluster for turning on that light, would that work?

- According to the CM6000 Manual, i need to use CN1 Pin6 wire to run the parking lights, this is ALSO the wire they say to use for the Trunk release. You need to choose betweeen the two? wth?   Obviously im missing something here as they list different wires with (-) outputs to attach to the parking lights wire in its place, but this will not "activate" the lights. Go figure, its not carrying 12V to turn the lights on.

- The tach wire, is it possible to just attach the CM6000 wire to the tach at the tach instead of the ECM? I currently have it attached at the ECM but its not working. Im not sure if its not working due to me not having the parking brake wire attached??

- For whatever reason now, my signal switch doesn't work. This may be a fuse somewhere? I cannot find the fuse of course!

As you can see the list is large. The documentation i've received from this site is very good but still missing some key points to completing an install. I will be happy to create a list for the CM6000 and installing in a Maxima when I get mine up and running.

Any help is EXTREMELY apprecaited!!!

Thanks,

Darkmega

Positives on the above which I forgot to mention. I've decided i want the trunk to work to I did what the book said. The trunk does now open with the remote. The locks LOCK but do not unlock, I know I need a double pulse to do this. Still figuring out how to switch the "options" but its hard without parking lights.

you wont need the hand brake wire if its an automatic car. If it isnt, the handbrake only shows voltage (-) when its pulled up. its YELLOW (-) @ switch or YELLOW/RED @ cluster

Use the GREEN / WHITE(+) on CN1 and connect that to RED / GREEN(+) @ the steering collum for parking lights.this wire can be set for EITHER park lights OR trunk release not both.

trunk release is negative. Take the VIOLET/WHITE(-) from the 4pin harness and wire it to a relay for trunk release.

85 - trunk release trigger from compustar
86 - constant 12v
87 - chassis ground
30 - to trunk release wire PURPLE / YELLOW (-) @ dkp
Run tach wire to the ECM. the wire is WHITE/ GREEN @ ecm in centre consol. make sure you program the tach and if it doesnt work, look for the diagnostics to see what the problem is.

Thanks Tedmond,

Ill try these fixes.

Question, you mention constant 12V to the relay for the trunk. Recommendations where I should pull this from?

As well, should the relay for the clutch bypass be wired the same way, and use the "black" wire on CN3 to run this?

I am pulling the tach reading from the cluster already as the wire at the ECM was too difficult to get to and they are just too redicuously tight to tie into anyways. So I will get the e-brake from the cluster too.

Thanks,

Darkmega

grab the 12v source from the ignition harness.

for the clutch relay. use the (-) RED / BLACK start output on the 18 pin harness. connect to a relay like so

85 - second start from unit (-) 250ma trigger
86 - constant 12v
87 - chassis ground
30 - to clutch (-) wire GREEN/ ORANGE (-) @ clutch switch

the 5pin relays will work fine. make sure it has terminals 85,86,87,87a,30 or if it says SPDT then you are good to go.

TEST EVERYTHING WITH A DMM!!

No need for a relay to the clutch. The black wire from the compustar brain can be connected directly. Tech support told me that the POC's are diode isolated already. I would also suggest changing the black wire output to 2nd start output and you are good to go.
Also, the RED / black wire from the brain should be connected to a relay to power up the second starter of the car. As previously mentioned you can connect your violet/white wire to a relay to open the trunk but its not needed since its a negative trigger and can be connected directly. The outputs are 250ma which should be strong enough to activate the trunk release.
