Im about to install this in a 1987 Trans Am.  Do I need a relay to operate the factory trunk release?  My old Alpine was doing so by tieing into the factory trunk release switch wiring.  Also is it ok to run 3 L.E.D's.  An finally would there be an issue in using two sirens?  I have an extra one and figured I would install it inside the car.

If the release switch sends out a neg pulse then no problem, ideally you should test this and tell us, you well however need a relay for the second siren.

This viper manual is horrible.  How do I wire up the retained accessory power wire?

Org/Blk to 85 on the relay, +12 to 86 and 30, 87 to your Acc wire.  Thats it.

The manual is'nt horrible.  It lists the Org/Blk as the (-) RAP output.

Ok I've got everything working.  I just have one question as to it's operation.  The Alarm is installed in a 1987 Trans Am GTA, so it's not the most advanced car when it comes to on board electronics.  The RAP appears to be working aside from the way it turns off.  I understand that it's supposed to turn off when a Door is opened and closed or the Alarm is armed.  Mine turns off as soon as the Dome lights turn off.  If I shut the car the lights come on and RAP is maintained for the 30 seconds that the lights are on, then as the lights turn off so does the RAP.  However if I open a door in that 30 second period, then the RAP stays powered until I shut the door, which also kills the domes thus turning off the RAP.  Is this working properly for this car?  These cars did not have a seperate door switch.  They only use the plunger switch in the Jam which is what the door sense is tied nto.  As mentioned, all triggers and everything else on the Alarm work.

Once your door trigger is connected to the dome light feed this is how it will work, IMO it isn't really a problem, unless you make it one, however if you would like it to fucnction as intended you would have to use an instant door feed input to the alarm!

So this I assume would require the addition of a seperate door switch.

Do you have a door ajar indicator in the instrument cluster? Door switches should not be necessary, there is work involved however! 1987 trans am, viper 5002 -- posted image.
