I just bought an Avital 2101l with some factory keyfobs for my '98 S10. Now I have the basics of installing alarms, circuits and what not but this keyless entry system is looking pretty hard. I have not started the install, but would like some help with the wire connections. Especially the ones that have to do with the lock and unlock relay connections. Do I make those on the truck, or just the 30 output wire?  Thanks

what exactly do you have questions about?
As for the lock wires, if your vehicle requires a positive pulse, you want to send 12v to 87 for lock and unlock and then send 30 to the appropriate lock or unlock wire.

Door Trigger White (-)  Courtesy Light or at BCM Tan DR.+ Orange PAS
Door Lock Light Blue (+)  Driver's Kick Panel or Brown Connector at BCM
Door Unlock White (+)

It looks to me as though they are positive fed. So does the 87 need to go to 12V?

What about the H1/3 and H1/4 connection?

H1/3 BLACK/ White - DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION RELAY #87 (IN)

H1/4 BLACK/ White - DOMELIGHT SUPERVISION RELAY #30 (OUT)

Also just to clarify, the H1/6 and the H1/17 do not get connected?

H1/6 WHITE/ Black - LOCK #87A NORMALLY CLOSED

H1/17 BROWN / Black - UNLOCK #87A NORMALLY CLOSED
