compustar w9000ss and pulsing hazard's

I just had a CompuStar RF-2W9000-SS (found here CompuStar RF-2#9000-SS ) installed in my 2011 Subaru WRX. I previously had it in my 2009 WRX. The unit functions perfectly, however I would like to add a feature. I want my hazard lights to flash. Not at full hazard speed, but half the speed. I like it as a better confirmation that my car is running. I have talked to the CompuStar Pro dealer and he does not know how to do this unless I was to find some sort of module to force it. A few years ago a buddy of mine had a remote start on his 98 4Runner and it did this. Does anyone here have an idea on how to make this happen? I really appreciate your input! Thanks! Its an option in the remoestart if you have the cm6000 brain its option 3-01 set to option 2. Tell you dealer that you want the parking lights to flash instead of constant on remote start IT IS AN OPTION

The RF-2W9000-SS is ONLY compatible with FT-6000AS-CONT, FT-6200S-CONT, and FT-6300A-CONT. This is what it says on the webpage for the remote I have. I can't find any info on those systems.2011 Subaru WRX Limited

Just asked the installer, he said I have the 6200.2011 Subaru WRX Limited

The 6200 is the same thing option 3-01 needs to be changed to option #2 really simple, take it to your installer and tell him that.

Use your 2 way remote and follow step for step Hold the 2 buttons down that are first on the programming table. and the alarm will chirp (1 + 4) Hold the 2 buttons down that are second on the programming table. and the alarm will chirp (1 + 2) Press button 4 the corresponding number of time for the option you want ( the alarm will only chirp once each time you press the button) (button 4 one time) Once you stop pressing button 4 wait for the alarm to start chirping. It will chirp the same number time for the option you selected Now press the button for the change you would like to make from the option table. (button 2) The end done.

I found the manual for the 6200. I did the steps (mentioned above as well. Thanks thecoolmankyle7) And I got confirmation on the remote (Lights flashing) The command however did not work. The installer said first I need to change POC #3 to option 1. For that I need the OP500 which of course I do not have. 2011 Subaru WRX Limited

THATS NOT TRUE!!!! im starting to think your installer is a hack! I have the cm600O on my truck right now. I have the parking lights hooked up to the normal parking light output, just like yours should be. I can change mine to make them flash with out changing POCS. The poc are wires that you can change the output of, you don't need to change the output, you already have parking light flash...... your lights flash when you press lock and unlock right? all this does is make them flash while running instead of constant output. Its a simple option change, your installer (if he is doing compustar) should have an op500. If this didnt work when you tried it I would try it again, compustars can be VERY tricky when programming with a remote, if you dont cross all your t's and dot your i's in perfect sequence it want work. Im not saying you didnt do it right im saying it can take several tries to get a compustar to change programming, if you have the op500, your dealer should, then he can change the option in a few seconds.

Yea, what the coolmankyle said. There is no reason to have to change the output of any of those wires... unless the installer somehow really hacked your install and used one of those wires..... The OP may not be able to answer this, but is the parking light output on that unit programmable / jumper-able for negative parking lights??? If not did the installer use that output for whatever reason?Kenny
