I’m in the process of installing a Viper 4103XV and DB-ALL bypass module but ran into a couple issues trying to identify some of the wiring.  I’ve read the manuals over and over again and read many forum threads on here and elsewhere.   There’s been lots of great helpful information but still stuck.  It looks like many Trailblazer users are going with the D2D method to make things easier.  From the looks of the DB-ALL instructions, all that’s needed is the Pin 2 of the Blue Connector (Violet / YELLOW Wire) to go to the Purple OBDII and the D2D wire connected to the Remote Start module. Question #1 Do the other connectors on the DB-ALL have to be hooked up if not using any wires?  The instructions aren’t all that clear but sort of sounds like they have to be for some reason.  I have it loaded with the current firmware for the Trailblazer.

When the DBALL is connected via D2D to the Viper 4103, it doesn't require any other wires but the D2D 4-pin harness. The only wire you will use from the DBALL to the car is the Violet / YELLOW wire of the blue 14-pin connector the goes to pin 2 of the OBD connector (usually a viole wire on GM vehicles). All other harnesses on the DBALL do NOT need to be plugged in since they have no connections when using D2D.
The heated seats/defrosters turn on automatically via the Data wire when the engine is under 32 degrees (default level). This feature must be enabled (it is disabled by default) in the DBALL programming section on page 5 of the manual.

The Heated Seats and Defroster can be programmed in the DB-ALL.  See page 5 of the install guide, Features 4 and 5.

If you are going D2D, the DB-ALL will only have the D2D harness and the OBD2 Data wire connected.  Everything else ( all the blue dashed wires ) should go thru

the D2D comm.

wires.

There are some minor errors with the 4 Pin Satellite harness.

Pins 1, 3 and 4 won't be used.  Pin 2 will be used to control an extra 30/40 Amp SPDT relay for the vehicles Brown ACC2 wire.  Relay wiring listed in Pictorial.

What i've marked as DBALL means it's taken care of by the DBALL and doesn't need any further connections from the Viper unit to the vehicle. All others marked as NOT USED aren't needed for this setup.

Thanks for the quick responses!  I have the DB-ALL programmed and ready to go with the heated seats/defrosters enabled.

kreg357,  I've read your tutorial over and over and it's helped clarify a lot when it comes time to go to the vehicle.  Since only Pin 2 of the satellite harness will be used for the brown ACC2 like you mentioned,  which pins would be utilized once you cut the Yellow IGN wire?  I was thinking harness side to Satellite Pin 3 and Keyside pin 2 of they heavy gauge relay plug. 

Relay wiring:

Relay Pin 85 to Viper Pin 2 of Satellite (-) 200mA Accessory Output wire.

Relay Pin 86 and 87 to +12V constant fused at 25 Amps
Relay Pin 30 to truck Brown ACC2 wire<-- just tapped via solder to wire and not cut correct?

Frank,  Thanks so much for clarifying the wiring information!  From reading other places, everyone has stated you must cut the Yellow start wire is this correct?  If so is one end not used anymore or both be used by the remote start unit?  I know the below wire uses the yellow starter so basically do I just tap into it like all the others or cut and have overlooked one side for the connections?

Think you are trying to do a Starter Kill circuit.  While upscale Viper units have this built-in, yours does not.  Here is a link to the relay wiring from the 12Volt.

You can accomplish Starter Kill with the following relay circuit ( specific to your Viper and vehicle ).

Relay Pin 85 to Viper H1/5 ORANGE (-) 500mA GROUND WHEN LOCKED

Relay Pin 86 to Viper H3/1 Pink ( or Trailblazer ING1 Pink )
Relay Pin 30 to Trailblazer Starter - cut wire - vehicle side   *** Also connect Viper H3/2 Purple Starter wire
Relay Pin 87A  to Trailblazer Starter - cut wire - switch side
Relay Pin 87 - not used

Frank has supplied the ACC2 relay wiring above ( which Howard will improve upon  viper 4103xv and db all wire identity que -- posted image. ) and it's listed in the Pictorial.

kreg, in your pictorial, it says the Trailblazer doesn't need the anti-grind relay setup. Since this Viper is only remote start, will he still need to cut the starter wire?
