Was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help clear up this wiring description. I'm not a mobile installer by profession however I have installed them before. The last one I installed was a Python 791xp in my silverado, which was s couple years ago.
I now have a 2006 Trailblazer and I want to install this Python 5206P, I'm pretty good with everything else but the Remote start side of this system is pretty confusing now. Would someone be nice enough to clear it up for me. I see that there is an option to hook up the 2nd ignition but I'm wondering if the H3/8 can be hooked up to the 2nd accessory wire. Or am I going to have to use a relay and hook up to the Auxiliary/ trigger harness and use the 19 Pin Violet/Black Aux 2 output.
Side note...I have the DB-GMDL-BP bypass, which is similar to the one I installed in my Silverado so I'm kosher there.
Another thing, Whats up with the crappy install guides now, use to be a nice book, now its a one page Fluster Cuck.
I apologize if this has been covered.

Looking at this I meant to say Pin 23 on the Auxiliary/ Trigger harness...says it is the 200mA Accessory Output......
And one more question What is Pin 5 (Status output) and Pin 11 (activation input) mean?

First, there is a Pictorial on your truck. It should help with the wire locations, etc.
https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~130514~PN~1
The Python can supply the Trailblazer's IGN1, IGN2, Starter and ACC1 wires, as follows :
H3/1 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUTPink
H3/2 RED / WHITE (87) FLEX RELAY +12V INPUT  Red
H3/3 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT     Orange
H3/4 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE)  Yellow
H3/5 GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT (KEY SIDE) Yellow
H3/6 RED IGNITION 1 +12V INPUT (30A FUSED) Red
H3/7 PINK/WHITE (30) FLEX RELAY OUTPUT  White   ** Default setting
H3/8 PINK/BLACK (87a) FLEX RELAY INPUTnot used
H3/9 RED / BLACK ACC/STARTER RELAY +12V INPUT RED / White
H3/10 NC No Connection
If you wish / need to power the Brown ACC2 wire, use a 30/40 Amp SPDT relay controlled
by the Pythons (-)200mA Accessory Output wire. I believe the exact relay wiring is also
detailed somewhere in the Pictorial ( halfway down Page 2 ).
(-) Status Output is also known as Ground When Running. Would be used for the GMDL-BP
bypass module.
Activation Input is used as a way to initiate a remote start ( instead of the remote FOB Start
button ).
As for the very brief install guides, that is Directed's way of making thing difficult for DIY'ers.
Soldering is fun!

Thank you for your help...would you be able to assist me with one more thing. I'm second guessing myself with the bypass...
The pink wire should that go to the vehicle or to the H2/4 Dome light output and if I hook it up to the car do I use a relay. If the pink wire goes to the vehicle then do I just tie them together?
and the pink/ white wire should hook up to the H2/15 (-) door input on the alarm.
Thank you for the help. I am just waiting on the ball bearing til switch, replacing the hood popper that comes with the alarm because I have never liked them and they rust to easily. When that comes in I will install this.

May not be able to help too much with the GMDL-BP module - never used one. If your Trailblazer has the Factory Alarm and / or heated seats, there are other bypass
modules that will do more for you. I use the Fortin INT-SL+ because it also handles the Parking Lights and supplies a Tsch signal.
Here is my understanding from the the GMDL-BP install guide.
1. The GMDL-BP Pink/White wire will only provide the Python H2/15 with front door triggers, not the rear doors.
2. The GMDL-BP's Brown wire goes to the Pythons Dark Blue (-) Status Output wire.
3. You can connect the GMDL-BP's Red wire to any of the Pythons power wires ( Red, Red, RED / White, RED / Black ), and the Black wire to the Pythons Black chassis ground wire.
4. The Pythons Dome Light Supervision output wire is (-) signal and can't be directly connected to the Trailblazers Dome Supervision gray/black (+) wire listed in the wire guides.
A relay would be required to convert the signal to (+). Do the Trailblazers interior lights come on with a Factory FOB Unlock command? If yes, you might not need / want to
connect this wire. See if the Python's unlock command does the same thing.

Thank you for your help. I am looking into the other bypass kit you mentioned . The alarm I have says it has virtual tach so not sure I will hook up the tah wire. Hookng up the parking light is not really a big issue.

Just a question about the door trigger...is there another way to capture all of the doors? I know in the past I have heard it mentioned to tap into the dome light.

As far as the dome lights coming on with the unlock command, I believe they do. I currently have the button pushed in to elimnate that.

You can try the Pythons Virtual Tach but most installers prefer the
reliability of running in Tach Mode.
Yes, often times connecting the Python door trigger input to the Dome Light wire works well. The big problem with that is the dome light delay / fade and it's affect on setting the Pythons alarm. The best way to monitor each / all doors is connecting to each doors pin switch. The Trailblazer is a PITA because you have to run a wire into each door.
Connecting to the Parking Lights gives a good visual feedback when locking, unlocking and remote starting the truck.

sorry about that, the mention of the parking light came out wrong, when I said it was no big deal I meant it was no big deal to run a wire to the actual parking light wire. Since you mentioned the other bypass does this for you, whereas mine does not.
my trailblazer dome light comes on with the push of the unlock.
would you happen to know the wire colors for each door as well as the rear defrost wire so that I can hook that up?
Am I going to have to grab the tailgate wire also? If the front 2 doors are already sensed shouldn't I just have to get the rear doors only

Yes, the GMDL-BP supplies the two front door triggers. You will add to that Python wire the
other three doors. Add a 1N4001 diode to each of these wires, with the band towards the door.
Trunk/Hatch Pin pink/black (-)   @ liftgate module in liftgate
LR Latch LIGHT BLUE/BLACK (-)       INSIDE LEFT REAR DOOR AT MODULE
RR Latch LIGHT GREEN/ BLACK (-)    INSIDE RIGHT REAR DOOR AT MODULE
Rear Defrost VIOLET (+) AT LIFT GATE CONTORL MODULE IN REAR HATCH ***
*** THE REAR WINDOW DEFROST ON THIS VEHICLE IS SENT THROUGH CLASS 2 DATA FROM
THE A/C TO THE LIFT GATE CONTROL MODULE

thank you again.....so since you mentioned the defrost was on the databus...I broke down and purchased the Fortin INT-SL+....
can you give me any advice on this module...the wiring is pretty straight forward..Is this going to detect all the doors, well I be able to control the hatch open and is there a way to get the driver 1 and 2 settings to work on the python alarm I have....
Thank you.
