I am having issues with this install. The remote start will activate but will not start the car. I am getting a Starting System Fault message on the dash of the Explorer. The Viper remote will arm and disarm the factory alarm, will lock the doors but will not unlock them. I have the EVO-ALL programmed for D2D and I am also using the EVO-FORT1 for this install. I feel I am close.

H3/1 pink
All the other wires are not hooked up due to using D2D hookup between the evo-all and the 5901. Would I be better off scrapping D2D and hook up alll the wire between the two devices? I am using connection diagram #1 with the THAR-FOR 1

What happens when you take the red and RED / black from the heavy gauge harness and give them 12volts constant?

Just got done hooking up the RED / black and the red wires to +12 volts still having the same issue. When I do put the key in the ignition I don't get the system starting message on the car dash. Do. I need to hook the RED / white to +12 volts as well?

RED / white powers pink/white so if you're using pink/white then yes. Otherwise if pink/white is not connected then no.

did you meter the wires at the ignition switch to see if they are getting power at the proper time when ever you try to remote start? Does the theft light flash rapidly when attempting remote start? Are the parking lights flashing after a failed remote start attempt? In other words, did you program tach, did you connect neutral safety wire to ground, is the neutral safety switch plugged in and turned to on, is the hoodpin seeing ground?

Got the remote start to work once, but would not shut off. I pulled the plug for the remote and not I am back to the same problem. I am also not able to program the learn tach. This was a remote start that was in one of my other vehicles. Is it time to look at different remote start module? If so would I be better off with one that works with the fortin language. I would like to stay with the 2 way system.
