Got one coming in tomorrow for a remote start, is there anything out of the ordinary i should be aware of? I read that these have a new sentry key, which means the 555c is prolly not going to work, so what 'bout the 555u?   Is that still a possibility or is that going to be a pain? The cars are for a chrysler dealership so they can get the keys for cheap.

I just did an 02' last week, theyre not fun . they have 1 postitive starter wire and 1 negative starter wire that needs to see 180 ohms. negative trigger with a resistor for parking lights. more work than normal. have fun!!!!! heres all the info youll need. In the one i did, i got a blank key from howard keys and coded it and used it in a key box to bypass the transponder part.

The late model Chrysler minivans are as much of a pain in the ass as a remote start can be, but after you do a couple you get used to them. The main things are making sure to use relays for the parking lights and second starter, and running your power wire under the hood(the constant feed to the ignition switch is fused at 10A).
Also, if the T&C has auto headlamps on the switch, make sure you use the relay to isolate the lights wire from the switch(i.e. cut the wire and hook 87a to the switch side, 30 to the BCM side, and 87 to 2100 ohms resistance to ground).

I think the reason godsegoizhuge is asking the question is because the 2004 is a redesign. Listing info from 02 is probably pointless. I haven't done one yet. I do have bypasses in stock for the 04 Chrysler keys, they can be bought at bypasskit.com
Good luck with the vehicle, and let us know what you find. It might be similar in wiring to an 04 Durango or maybe even a Ram. Might want to compare the wiring to one of those, there are tech sheets available for those.

Some of the 04 Chrysler mini van's have the keyless entry built into the key now. Not a seperate fob like they used to be. We did one about a month ago and a c module dosen't work for this new key. It requires a u mudule but the key was to large to fit inside the coil. We wound up cutting the coil out of the module and used light gauge wire to make a new coil to fit it. If the vehicle has the standard gray key, the c module still works.

Hope this helps..Dale

Forgot to mention, the dealership we did this for did not have a new replacement key to cut for it at that time. They gave up the seond key to the van for it. Haven't heard if the new keys are available yet.

It;'s the same as an 03, except it has the key like a pacifica.

They only get 2 keys with the vehicle, so it may be a good idea to  have your cutsy go and get another programmed before you do the job.

I found a bypass kit that will work, its from bypasskits.com. Now my question is this, i dropped the lower dash panel and there's what looks like an airbag of some sort. Anyone know how to get around this or should i just leave it be?

can someone help me out how i will wire in for the 2nd starter wire and also the parking lights? I got the resistors for it. I notice it says directfax 1082 for parking lights and directfax 1083 for remote start. Anyone actually have a copy of these two forms they can post or just give me step by step on how to wire these 2 wires up?
