on 3rd gen cavaliers, how to you go about connecting the harness in the steering column, take thew whole dash off or the cover around the column bynthe steering wheel? if so, how do you get the tilt lever off so the plastic cover will come off?

To get to the wiring harness you'll need to take the cover off of the steering wheel. As for the tilt lever you'll want to take a towel and a some vice grips to get that thing off. Chevy has this knack of using lock-tite on that so it'll take a couple of times to finally break it loose. Also make sure to grip it closest to the steering column as possible, just in case some how it tears up the lever it won't be that noticble. If it's to messed up i'm sure you can find a replacement one at a junkyard really cheap.

aslong as you don't cut into the yellow sleeve for the airbags you don't have to worry 'bout them. I always liked the part 'bout disconnecting the battery 1st, how are you supposed to check the wires when there isn't any power going to it?

true, ok i was worried just touching them or even being by them may trigger the bags, im still gonna have some alarm install probs, but got alot figured out, the harness for thesteering column should cut time as long as i can get enough room to get in that area

you can unhook the harness's and pull it alil bit to get some slack. the only part that's going to be a pain is gettin the parking lights, that harness is at the top of steering column.

yeah with the t-harness you'll be fine. basically it'll go between the original harness and the factory plug. Makes it alot easier than trying to splice into the wire. As far as pics go i'm sorry i don't have anything for that. I'm guessing your from ohio where 'bout are ya?
