Does anyone know if it is possible to bypass the run time feature on a remote start. My customer needs for his vehicle to run indefinitly. He does not want it to shut off in an hour. Please any info is helpfull. Thank you.

The Crimestopper units have an infinity run time mode-- cars runs until it runs out of gas..........you hit the start button twice on the remote while it is running to set it to this..............

I've already installed a DEI 561T. Is there any way to bypass the runtime feature on this model.

No, and if he wants it disabled then he is an idiot. There is no reason that it needs it to run for any length more then a hour. If he needs it to run longer tell his ass to use his key. Don't forget that there are some states that have run time laws as well.

You could always use relays to keep it running. Depending on how you want to wire it up, the number of relays needed could be as little as the number of ignition, accessory, and light leads you want/need to keep energized. Keep in mind you'll need to use an additional relay to reset it by pressing the brake or you could even use a momentary contact button/switch to reset it.

The reason to keep it running is the vehicle carries a bomb sniffing dog. The vehicle is a 2005 Ford Excursion. You wouldnt happen to have a diagram on how to wire these relays, it would really help. I get really confused on relays. Thanks for the help.

What equipment do you have in this vehicle? Mainly the alarm.

It is a DEI 561T along with a 555F bypass. It is activated by hitting lock 3 times
