dei529t i think i got it almost.

I want to hook up a DEI529 to my ESP150 in my Bronco to operate the rear window with the AUX button on my remote.  I would really like it to go down by the remote, going up would be nice too.

This is what I have come up with so far.  I think I can install it between the Master Tailgate Switch and the Tailgate Switch.

Wiring (per the diagram below)

DEI 529T                 Truck

Orange                   ESP150 H1/12 RED / wht

Black                       Ground

So the questions I still have...

Is this right?  Will it work if installed between he switches?

How do I hook up the 2nd Activation Input to make the window go up?

Do the wiring between the switch and the motor.

Cut Yellow/Red.

Connect Brown of 529T to Yellow/Red from switch.

Connect Blue of 529T to Yellow/Red from motor.

Cut RED / Yellow.

Connect White of 529T to RED / Yellow from switch.

Connect Green of 529T to RED / Yellow from motor.

Ground signal on Orange will close until signal is turned off or released.

Connecting Gray to Orange will close with a ground pulse on Orange.

Ground signal on ORANGE / Black will open until signal is turned off or released.

Connecting Gray/Black to ORANGE / Black will close with a ground pulse on ORANGE / Black.

And finally the obvious: Red = B+, Black = Ground.

Thanks for getting back.  I kind of figured it was headed the way of wiring it in back, but that is OK.  I got it all until:

Ground signal on Orange will close until signal is turned off or released.

Connecting Gray to Orange will close with a ground pulse on Orange.

Ground signal on ORANGE / Black will open until signal is turned off or released.

Connecting Gray/Black to ORANGE / Black will close with a ground pulse on ORANGE / Black.

I'm a newbie and need a little more explanation of the above as to where and on what do those wires go.  Somehow it it not sinking in...

When you hold the Orange wire to a ground, the motor will turn until you remove the Orange from the ground. This allows you to roll it part way and stop it at any time.

If you want the window to move all the way up or all the way down by just sending a quick pulse to the Orange or ORANGE / Black, then you need to connect the Gray and Gray/Black as mentioned previously.

This is because 529T will send out a constant ground on the Gray and Gray/Black when you just pulse the orange.

So connecting the Gray to Orange causes the module to self feed a ground to itself.

The fog is starting to clear.

Now, I can see wiring it to roll down, but where (how) do i wire it to to the ESP150 to roll up as well?

Or am I limited by the ESP150 to pick one one option?

The RED / White on the ESP is the only usable channel, so, use it to roll down.

If momentarily grounding the Orange of the 529T nudges the window up then connect it to the Orange from the 150 ESP to roll up. The Orange from the 150ESP is a Ground when armed signal which will roll the window all the way up the instant you press the lock button on the remote.  Don't connect the Gray of the 529T to anything.

Ooooo... we are getting close.

So if I hook up the RED / wht I should be able to push the aux button on the remote once and the rear window will go down - right?

And by hooking up the orange wires, when I lock the doors with the remote the window should go up.  I have a couple diodes in there and have a DEI629R hooked up as well.

Using the aforementioned wiring scheme, if you connect the RED / White to the ORANGE / Black and press the aux button, then the window motor will turn until you release the aux button at which point the window will stop.

As for the up (close) direction, yes connect the Oranges together. Put a diode on the between the starter kill relay and the security system's Orange wire. Connect the 629 and the 529 to the Orange directly at the security system so there is no feedback from the starter kill relay's coil.

This should do it.
