I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the door panel off of a 97 GMC sierra standard cab.   There are no screws around the door handle assembly and I don't want to just pull it off and hope I don't brake anything.

hi if you look carefully there are 3 slots around door handle panel push flat blade in these slot and lighlty pull at same time they will releeasde and that trim piece will come off then you can proceed from there and can't remember when they switch from clips to lift of panel so be carefull when removing panel i think it wasn't until 2000
good luck

Thanks Man

I actually figured it out this morning pretty quickly.  There were actually four tabs and I ended up breaking one off, but it still snaps in place fine.  Anyway thanks for the reply.
