Hi,
I have an AvantGuard 5.5 installed on my 1994 Peugeot 205 diesel and I'm adding an Intellistart unit to it. I believe the wiring is ok, but I'm stuggling to program the RPM for the remote start.
There aren't many sensors on a XUD7 n/a diesel engine, so I've taken a supply from one alternator winding (internally). I get about 9v AC at idle. Should this be ok?
I initially tried manually programming, but my PlainView switch was playing up (turned out to me a dodgy connector). So I then tried the CliffNet Wizard, and always got 'nocode' every time I tried to learn the RPM.
So then I sorted the valet switch and tried manual programming again. Sometimes I get one chirp, sometimes two, but it never seems to store it.
Upon doing some research AFTER I tried programming the RPM with the Wizard, it seems I may have messed things up.
So basically, is there a way to 'reset' the Intellistart to accept the RPM being programmed manually, or do I have to get a new unit?
Thanks :)

Get a 465 tach generator from the importers and a new switch.
You're going to damage the alternator and the Whizz doesn't work on G5 product, manual initialisation is the only way to go.

Thanks for your reply Howie. Ok, I'll get them ordered.
Do you think my Intellistart will be ok? I mean, will it program ok manually after I've already used the Wizard with it? Assuming I get a decent tach signal sorted that is :)

Yes, never really used the Whiz on G5. The car worries me more, does it start when the glow plug light goes out without having to pump the accelerator?

OK cool :)
Is 9v a little too much for the I/S tach wire?
Yeah, it starts very well, as long as the glowplug light is out it will always fire literally within half a second, no pedal pumping at all :)
Can you recommend somewhere in the UK to get the tach generator and switch?

Thanks Howie :) Yeah, just been searching and 465 seems to be something to do with fobs. And 455 is something Jeep related Intellistart 4 RPM Programming -- posted image.
Could the tach generator be 454t?
